Porn movie title or American Idol coronation song? Unfortunately the latter. Actually, I wanted to make the headline for this blog “kara-dioguardi-stinks-up-american-idol-final-with-horrid-songwriting” but I just couldn’t resist the Michael Scott quip. I can live with the permalink.
I remember seeing a poll on CNN a long time ago where people were asked to vote for the worst song ever. I believe the winner was “These Boots Were Made for Walkin’” by Nancy Sinatra. Well move over Nancy, because Kara Dioguardi and her crack squad of “songwriters” have all but guaranteed future consideration for that dubious distinction with the pathetic stinker-of-a-coronation song Adam Lambert and Kris Allen were likely coerced into singing in tonight’s American Idol (more…)
